What is this all about?

So there I was, mulling over the New Year, thinking about the wondrous moments that 2014 would surely bring to us when I had The Epiphany. Of course, I do this best while lounging on my couch, drinking coffee in my bathrobe, and perusing Google+ posts. I know, I lead a glamorous life. It's ok to be jealous. Sometimes I am even jealous of my self, but that's another therapy session for another day.

In standard operating procedure, I had reshared an animated gif about how the first month of 2014 was going to suck when writing dates. After a few comments, you can see the transpiration of inspiration that came to be this blog.  And that we really just have to blame +Scott Steffenauer  for this.

But really, pie is delicious. I'm not planning on Pie for every meal, but definitely in some form each day. I will post pics, recipes, and reviews after. I've been wanting a personal blog project for a while and just haven't had anything all that interesting to blog about.

Sure, I will have to be a little versatile in my thinking and allow things like Quiche or Fritata. I will adapt certain types of bakes and casseroles. And yes, pizza will definitely be allowed. Being handy and creative in the kitchen, I rather like this challenge, though, and will look for some new spins on old ideas. I also want to try to keep it healthy. I am a mother of two kids, one who is very picky, so keeping this balanced and them happy is important as well.

I have a while to prepare before the actual beginning, however, so posting will be limited to some planning, etc before then. I also look forward to reader ideas and suggestions! Oooh... Interactive engagement with my audience. Stop the presses!

For now, I will research pie, its origins, place in history, and its cultural impact. Looking forward to sharing what I learn,  because, pie is awesome. And so are you.
